Why do some of the trips have TBA or general dates?

We are in the process of setting specific dates, designating team leaders, and other details. We will update our TRIPS PAGE as soon as the information is made available.

When is my application due?

Applications are due November 15th. All applications require a $50 non-refundable deposit in order for them to be officially processed by the Pursue Missions Office.

When is the money for the trip due?

After being accepted onto one of our teams you will receive a payment plan that clearly states when money must be turned in.

What does the cost cover?

Trip costs cover transportation, lodging, food, and outreach expenses unless otherwise noted by your team leader. Trip costs do NOT cover food while traveling in airports, souvenirs, tips, and optional excursions.

What are the age restrictions for the trips?

In general, trips are open to individuals 18 years and older. Children are allowed to travel if a parent accompanies them on certain trips.

Must I have a passport in order to apply?

You do not have to have a passport in hand to apply for a trip. We will give you all the information needed for you to apply for your passport. Please note that the cost of the trip does NOT include additional fees incurred when obtaining a passport.

Can I go on a mission trip if I live outside of Lubbock, TX?

Absolutely! We have several people outside of Lubbock that travel on Pursue Short-Term Trips every year. If you live outside of Lubbock, please note the following:

• Trip Prices are based on travel from Lubbock. You will be expected to come to Lubbock on your own expense and travel from Lubbock with the team.

• You must attend our “Big Team Training” weekend in the Spring

Can I use my airline miles or book my own travel?

No - we work on getting group rates and pay as a group. Therefore, all travel details must go through the Pursue Missions Office. You are welcome to get airline miles for these trips but you cannot redeem your miles for these trips.
